Healthy-ish Margarita Recipe
It’s getting warmer which means it’s Margarita Season (my name for Spring). In order to justify my indulgence, I came up with this yummy “Healthy-ish Margarita” recipe.
1 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1 oz Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
1.5 oz Organic Tequila (no pesticides or fertilizers = no hangover according to some experts)
Put the ingredients in a shaker, and fill it with ice.
Shake well then strain into a margarita glass (if you’re feeling fancy) or a solo cup (if you’re like me 😉
If you like it sweeter, make your own simple syrup: 1 Tablespoon Date Syrup + 1 Tablespoon Warm Water (can also use Maple syrup or coconut sugar). Or, put these ingredients in a blender with your favorite fresh fruit (skip the artificial colors and refined sugars)

For a margarita machine, you use:
1 Litter Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1 Litter Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
2 Litters Tequila
1 Litter Simple Syrup (only if you want sweet)
And, if you don’t want to work this hard, you can just use the mix that comes with the margarita machine rental. Let’s face it: “being healthy” is probably not at the top of your concerns when drinking margaritas anyway.
